Do we have any idea how we can save from phone bills and maximize internet usage?
September 27, 2008 · Comments
One thing is I know, simply don’t use the phone at all times. Funny! But what I mean here is how can we save phone bills from long distance calls? Many telecommunication companies advertise their products or services and offering affordable rates and many consumers like me amazed what they are offering! And end of the month phone bill comes SHOCKING to see that there are charges we didn’t expect “Hidden charges” and lot of us are asking where these charges came from? So what’s the point they are promoting “Affordable” but they are not truly affordable.
Internet is now widely used and is a big industry player especially here in Philippines. Not yet fully penetrated in the market but soon internet will rapidly use even to our next generation.
So why don’t we use VoIP (Voice over the Internet Protocol)? Simply it is just like a combination of internet and telephone. And since this is the only way we can maximize internet usage and an advantage to make international calls. Using stable internet connections, voice is really clear and almost no charge. There is lot of VoIP providers here in Philippines and try to research what company that fit to your budget, one good example is OpenTone Communication Philippines visit their website for details, look at their affordable packages and feel free to inquire to them @ 632.809.9207 or toll free number 888.544.9429.
Feel free to comment about my blogs. Thank you.

It’s confirmed! The rumor that was flatly denied by Google people which was disseminated after the launching of the very first version of Apple iPhone has been finally revealed.

Google has officially launched their G1 phone on Tuesday on New York Stage wherein no less than the founders of Google Larry Page and Sergey Brin introduced it to the public. They both arrived on the venue on rollerblades.
The device is a joint venture between Google and T-Mobile and is known officially as T-Mobile G1 is actually manufactured in Taiwan by HTC. The same company who is developing some known products of Compaq, Palm, Vodaphone and other mobile carriers. Millions of people are actually using HTC phones – they are just not aware of it.

Are you wondering what happened last night at the Globe iPhone 3G Countdown Launch Party?
Try to the watch the archived (live) streaming of the event at Qik and Bambuser! The Qik stream was captured through a Nokia E71 while the Bambuser stream was created through my Sony Ericsson P990i.
Capturing photos was somewhat hard for my SE P990i’s had a weird reaction adjusting to the lights and all so I just thought that it would be much better to stream the event live. The connection I had used was one of the 5 free WiFi access points that Globe provided during the event at Ayala Tower One.
So how about you? Are you planning to get an iPhone too or do you have one already? :)

July 15, 2008 · Comments
I was very lucky to be in invited to try and use ümobile, the new TELCO in the Philippines. ümobile is the first ad-funded mobile service provider in Asia. According to their website’s FAQ section, ümobile is a brand owned by Connectivity Unlimited Resource Enterprise, Inc. CURE belongs to the family of the 2 leading telecommunication giants, PLDT and SMART. ümobile maintains their independence as far as strategic business decisions and day-to-day operations are concerned. SMART supports them in their needs especially on network complement.
Ad-funded? Meaning, a user can gain load credits by viewing and receiving targeted advertisements. The service is exclusively open to 15-35 years old. In addition, the service is by invitation only. Therefore, one needs to have an invite code to be able to apply for the said service. You don’t have to worry about insignificant advertisements popping out of your cellphones. Why? During the application process, you will be asked to answer a lengthy questionnaire about your lifestyle and interests. It is where ümobile will base the ads that would be sent to you. Well, if you don’t want to view ads but would want to use their service, you can easily buy load credits from their website and other affiliate stores. As a ümobile user, can enjoy the following benefits and features:
- Free P100 load every month for the first 6 months
- Enhanced communication with fring™ (mobile VoIP)
- Nationwide coverage
- Earn rewards with every ad you see
- Mobile broadband surfing
- PC calling with Virtual Phone (coming soon)
ümobile’s access number is +63999 (0999). So, your number would be like +63999XXXXXXX. Isn’t it cool to have that +63999 number?
