Chat messenger software has been around and is continuously growing as a major part of instant online communication medium around the web. Personally, I could not think of anybody who regularly goes to web but doesn’t go online with his chat messenger, I don’t even know anybody who does that.
One intriguing feature that most messenger client programs do offer is being online but invisible. That is, being hidden so nobody gets to see your online status, unless you modify your specific invisibility stealth feature among your chat users. As far as I can recall, as being a yahoo user for almost 15 years now, Yahoo! was one of the first to offer and implement a stealth invisibility feature into its Yahoo messenger client program, and the rest of the world follows.
Now, did you ever stop for a while and think about how would you be able to see those invincible users listed from your YM contact list.
Yes, I am able to see both online and invisible YM users at the same time. The feeling is funny but a little invasive.
Why?
Naturally, you get the chance to see who’s being invisible from their YM status period. For having invisibility brings another curtain shade of privacy and confidentiality status, atleast from Yahoo messenger program. Being hidden and invisible provides a feeling of convenience to some and comfort to others, its a mixed cases though.
But hey, this Gyache program makes YM user to see and pass through that invisibility curtain! How’s that scaring you? Million and million YM users will now get the chance see your invisible YM status and your invisible SMS status too. In fact, YM stealth feature is not even more 100% effective on hiding online YM privacy status.
Can you imagine that?
Well, all these has been possible using GyachE, a GPL’ed yahoo-like client chat messenger that supports most YM protocols and features a YM can offer. As of this time, it is not available on windows platform.
Lucky me, I can see you guys. :)
If you wish to install it on rpm-based linux distros like Centos or Fedora, hit my web. Alternatively, there are some windows-based external program that supports this feature. The thing is, you need to install YM plus that external program at the same time, not like how Gyache does the job.
Quicky post, have fun!
