Dekaron SEA – Now On It’s 2nd Week of CBT

Dekaron SEA is now on its second week of closed beta testing. For all of you n00bz out there who ain’t got the 733t haxxor skillz I do (for shiznits!), when a game goes into ‘closed beta testing’, it means the game goes live for a limited number of people in order for the publisher or developer to gather data prior to releasing the game publicly. It’s like your momma giving your friends free cookies before she starts her own catering shop. Or your sister sleeping with your friends before she turns into a bonafide hoe. Amazing what metaphors can do in this day and age.

Anyway, while you were busy getting your rocks off to your favorite yaoi, Dekaron SEA has been in closed beta for a week now. And you didn’t know, did ya?

Dekaron SEA started accepting registrations for closed beta testers as early as July 23 (last month), and gave out the activation codes Monday of last week, August 11. The CBT client has been available for download the day before the actual CBT began, but no one was able to log in until the virtual gates were open, and when they did, boy, it was a cyberstampede!

According to mobiusgames Marketing Director Eric Roceles (via Hackenslash.net), mobiusgames:

[has] already allocated “several thousand” player accounts for the closed beta test (CBT), which was announced in July. He said the closed beta game will be the full version that will test for bugs.

Well, according to my reliable source from inside mobiusgames, the initial allocated number of CBT accounts was less than several thousands, but due to the continuous registrations they were getting, they had no choice but to ask the developer, GameHI, for more accounts!

Well, no surprise there. Dekaron SEA is causing quite a stir among the players in the Philippines, Singapore, and Malaysia!

I heard some people had some trouble logging in the first few hours, but the response by team mobiusgames was swift, and since then, the CBT has been running smoothly.

How awesome is Dekaron? Well, TechBlog.ph contributor Jerome Ancheta’s risking his exam to play it! Great job, kid!

A big concern for players, of course, is the eventual system wipe when the CBT is done. Of course, the eventual system wipe is an industry protocol, and I haven’t heard of any CBT not ending with some sort of wipe or rollback (unless the “CBT” is actually just some ploy to start people playing, eh?). But mobiusgames announced it’s running several CBT events and promos which have prizes that will be rewarded during the Open Beta Testing. Hmm… sounds fair, enough. You join the contests during the CBT, and you enjoy your reward during the OBT.

Insider info has it that the OBT will have MORE events and promos than the set they have now on CBT. *Hint: better start flexing your Adobe 733t skillz. hehehe…

Question: How come you’re still here reading this article when you should have been playing for a week now?
