A Developer’s Evening with Yahoo! Philippines
August 8, 2008
Yahoo! Philippines is inviting Philippine-based web developers to a Networking Event where you can meet fellow developers. The company will also share details about future web developer activities in the country and the Yahoo! Developer Network, which offers Web Services and APIs that make it easy for developers to build applications and mashups that integrate data sources in new ways, making the web a more useful and fun place for everyone.
Yahoo! Philippines first held a developer meeting in October 2007 in conjunction with the University of Philippines-Yahoo! Hack Day. At the event, UP students demonstrated how simple it was to use Yahoo!’s open APIs to create web utilities that are relevant to their internet experience.
The event details are:
Venue: TGI Fridays (3F Glorietta 3, Ayala Center, Makati City)
Date: 14 August 2008
Time: 6-9 pm
Expect food, drinks and a steady flow of Yahoo! goodies. The raffle of an ipod and other Yahoo! schwags will be announced at 8.45pm.
The event is free, but please RSVP your attendance to sea-ydn@yahoo-inc.com with your details and subject header “YDN PH Event”. Closing date for RSVPs is 12 August 2008.
Disclaimer: I work for Yahoo! Southeast Asia, and I’m posting the invite on behalf of Yahoo!, but I wholeheartedly invite you to come join us on Thursday night! It will be a great time to meet others and talk shop. :) ‘Hope to see you there!
