2008 Globe Innovation Convention: Globe Labs Launch

Another big event from Globe Telecoms with the theme: “Enriching lives through Innovative Communications” awaits developers this August 7, 2008, Thursday, at the Isla Ballroom, Tower Wing, EDSA Shangrila from 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM to mark the official launch of Globe Labs.

Globe Labs is a new organization within Globe Telecom whose mission is to help bring in the newest future technology services at the earliest market-relevant time. They explore new and future technologies, and partner with developers to create new internet, wired and wireless applications.

This event promises to be an extensive innovation convention including the full range of parties in the telecommunications innovation ecosystem: Globe Telecom, Technology Partners, ISVs / Developer Companies, the Academe, and Freelance Developers.

The Globe Labs Launch covers the following:

  1. Launch Globe Labs to the developer community by introducing its program and initiatives
  2. Launch two (2) Globe enablers (APIs) that can be used by Globe Labs registered developers to build applications
  3. Kick-off the Globe Labs Challenge, a competition to develop applications relevant to the Telco industry
  4. Forum Nokia, Microsoft and Sun Microsystems will talk about their latest development tools

How to register through PHPUGPH (PHP User Group Philippines)

  1. If you are already a PHPUGPH member, please proceed to step #2. If not, kindly register at PHPUGPH Website (www.phpugph.com)
  2. Go to the Globe Labs portal (www.globelabs.com.ph) then register with Globe Labs as an individual and then log-in
  3. Click on the Globe Innovation Convention banner which will bring you to the event page
  4. Click on the Register button
  5. Type in this event registration code P0G23, then confirm by clicking the submit button
  6. A printable confirmation page will appear and a copy will be sent to your email
  7. Kindly send a copy of the confirmation email sent to you by Globe Labs to chean@phpugph.com so the PHPUGPH’s list of confirmed attendees would be updated
  8. Please bring a copy of the confirmation page to the event and present it to the registration committee

***First 300 individual registrants gets a gift and t-shirts would be given away to attendees from the developer communities!
