Anybody looking for a Bluetooth enabled headphones?

Well wait no more since Sony will launch their new model of Bluetooth Headphones and named it DR-BT140Q. The Headphones will be available in four colors (Black, White, Silver, Pink), the headphones will feature Bluetooth 2.0, and support A2DP/AVRCP/HFP/HSP profiles.

Specifications as follows :

Frequency response is of 16Hz-24,000Hz, a 30mm in diameter driver unit, and a built-in lithium battery (12 Hours).

One thing that I don’t like with Bluetooth headset is the size of it. If only they can reduce the size into 10 mm diameter it will be better. Well it is still depends on the user. For me I prefer the smaller one.

BTW this is my first post here in Techblog.ph and I will try to post here in a weekly basis. Well it may be more.

Dealing with .PH Registrars

June 18, 2008 · Comments

As early as first week of June, our team has already decided which domain name to use for this project. Guess what it is? *lol*. Obviously it is TechBlog.ph – perfect for our blog’s name: Tech Blog Philippines.

DomainsPH It has always been known that dotPH is the official domain registry of the Philippines. In fact their website states that it is the center of the Philippine Internet Domain Name System. Their rate for .ph domain registration is $70 for 2 years. They don’t offer yearly registrations for reasons we’re not aware of. Maybe because they are the official registrar? Just maybe. That’s their business strategy and we respect that. But as far as we (startups) are concerned, that lack of yearly registration option made us look for other registrars. That led us to CTCD, Cheaper than cheap domains. Maybe next year, depending on this blog’s performance this year, we might renew our domain directly to dotPH.

CTCD Ctcd is really an alternative if someone wants to initially register a .PH domain for one year only. Main reason being its rate is cheaper than what other affiliate registrars offer. You can get a domain from them for only $30 a year. But unfortunately we encountered problems when we attempted to register with them. The message displayed at their site (refer to the screenshot) says that they are undergoing maintenance and that we should try again the following day. At first we thought that it was just a one day downtime. So we tried again & waited for several days hoping that they were already done with the maintenance but still to no avail we found ourselves as if we’re waiting for nothing. Eventually we then decided to look for alternative registrars and there came PhilHosting.

PhilHosting PhilHosting’s rate is higher than that of CTCD but it’s a better option than just waiting forever. They usually have promo codes for registrations but there was none at the time we registered TechBlog.ph. Too bad huh. But then we really needed to register and we proceeded even without a promo code at hand. It only took 48 hours and finally our domain was already propagated throughout the world wide web from the Philippines to Canada to California to Saudi Arabia and to the rest of the globe.

That’s how we dealt with the .PH registrars when we registered TechBlog.ph (Tech Blog Philippines).
